Four ideals (2020)

On November 20, 2020, I opened our first members’ call by thanking everyone “for trusting me to foster this valuable network.” Then I read out the vision - “a community of growth-oriented entrepreneurs leveraging technology & distressed asset opportunities for win-win-win results.”

And a few ideals I thought we could try to live up to as individuals:

• Abundance minded - seeing opportunity instead of scarcity
• Creative over Consumptive - net positive value contributed
• Caring over Cut-throat - towards all counter-parties
• Trustworthy & dependable

Back then the whole group lived in a shared Podio workspace. I asked everyone to post their questions in the forum instead of private messages, and to add notes on each county as they came across it.

Four years later I rewrote the list for new members. The words shifted a little (caring not cut-throat now points “towards the present & future”), and I added a fifth - Industrious, applying leverage to multiply efforts.

Last fall, writing the welcome for our free community, I moved trustworthy & dependable underneath all the others. It sits there now “at the foundation of all,” with a short reason next to it - reputation is priority.
